Adult Day Services – Stewart Adult Day Center and Sam L. Cohen Adult Day Center
Individualized adult day services focused on allowing members living with memory impairments including Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias to live in their homes for as long as possible.
Southern Maine Agency on Aging’s Adult Day Centers provide a home-away-from-home experience for members living with memory impairments including Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The Centers encompass the latest therapeutic approaches in person-centered care, providing a safe environment for members while encouraging socialization, healthy choices, and maximum independence. The Centers also provide family caregivers with critically important respite, support, and education to allow our members to live at home for as long as possible. Each member is recognized as a unique individual. Person-centered activities are designed to honor and engage the individual in ways that will be fun, stimulating, and interesting. Each member’s interests and abilities are assessed when they enroll and a menu of therapeutic activities is developed accordingly.
