Why is AARP Foundation interested in social isolation and loneliness?
In 2010, AARP conducted a national survey of U.S. adults age 45 and older to better understand loneliness among midlife and older adults. Since the survey’s release eight years ago, the field has evolved and AARP Foundation’s focus has expanded to include social isolation. Find out more, here.
How will you use my information?
​With your permission, we will be monitoring your usage of the chatbot. All data collected by the chatbot is also confidential and will be used only to improve its usability, value, and performance. The data collected by the chatbot, to which you grant us consent, is subject to the rights and requirements outlined in the attached legal terms.
Pertaining specifically to questions asked within the chatbot and external questionnaires:
- All of your responses will be confidential in that none of your answers will be linked to your name, and we will never share your name or your phone number.
- We will use the information you provide only to develop and improve our programs.
- Whether or not you complete the questionnaire will have no effect on your participation on Arpibot
- We would appreciate it if you answer all of the questions to the best of your ability and memory. However, you are free to skip any questions you do not want to answer
